DIPLOMA PROGRAM - Pilot of "Fast Track" being run from May 26 to 29, 2009
Realizing that field personnel in the Oil and Gas Industry are often promoted into supervisory or management positions based on their technical expertise, Keyera Energy, in cooperation with Lakeland College, has developed a program to assist these people in being successful with the additional responsibilities that they acquire in more senior roles. This program focuses specifically on management issues related to the oil and gas industry. Completion of the program leads to a Government of Alberta recognized diploma, issued by Lakeland.
We have some outstanding instructors committed to delivery of the program, which we feel is unique in its focus on oil and gas management in a field environment. To qualify for the Petroleum Management Diploma participants will be required to complete 10 courses. Six of these courses are compulsory and four are optional, chosen from the additional courses available through the program.
A "Fast Track" version of the program has been developed for qualified participants from the CMDS End Users group. The fast track is a condensed version of the full progam and consists of 10 courses . The "Fast Track" program recognizes prior learning and experience and is open to experienced supervisory and management personnel. To qualify for admittance to the program a portfolio documenting experience and prior learning must be submitted.
We are currently accepting registrations for a pilot of two of the required courses in the "Fast Track":
Petroleum Management - May 28-29, 2009
