We have recently added 2 new modules to the CMDS eLearning library.

Solar Energy Operated Oil and Gas Field Equipment

This module breaks down and discusses the components of a solar (photovoltaic or PV) system. Topics introduced are:

Maintenance free VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries

Photovoltaic Technology
Mounting Solar Panels
System Sizing

Introduction to Horizontal Directional Drilling - Pipeline

This module provides an introduction to Horizontal Directional Drilling as it applies to pipeline installations. Topics discussed include:

Casing
Drilling fluid
Frac out
Drilling operations
Drill bits
Emergency measures

Each module has a 10 question quiz that will test the readers understanding of the topics covered. The quizzes are made up of multiple choice and True/False questions. A 90% or higher is required to receive a passing grade.
