About CMDS
The Competency Management and Development System (CMDS) is a business service provided by Keyera, serving thousands of employees and contractors across Canada in more than one hundred energy companies.
History
The Competency Management and Development System (CMDS) started in 1998 from the need to develop a competency training and tracking system for general use in the Canadian Oil and Gas industry sector. With concurrent developments in the world wide web, this system was quickly adapted to Internet delivery.
CMDS began at Gulf (Canada) Midstream and continued with Keyspan and Keyera, and has been made available to other companies on a fee-for-service basis. Over the years, CMDS has continually grown and evolved into a multi-function application used to provide occupational competency structure, tracking and reporting, and to support a broad range of training requirements.
Today, CMDS is operated by a highly skilled and incredibly dedicated group of people at Keyera, providing support to industry's leading companies.
