Additions to the e-Learning Library

We have recently added three new modules to the CMDS eLearning library.

Introduction to Lockout/Tagout

The objective of this module is to enable field and facility personnel to know when and how to lock out and tag out equipment. This module covers industry LOTO practices. The following topics are introduced:

• Hazardous energy
• Hazards requiring lockout/tagout
• Lockout/tagout requirements

Permanent Structures, Scaffolding and Ladders

The objectives of this module is to provide the reader with enough information to prevent falls and to be able to work in as safe a manner as possible while working at heights. Topics covered include:

• Permanent structures
• Ladders
• Scaffolding

Rotary Positive Displacement Pumps

The objective of this module is to introduce the reader to the basics of rotary positive displacement pumps. In this module, the reader will learn:

• The types of rotary pumps used in the oil and gas industry
• The application of rotary pumps in hydraulic systems

Each module has a 10 question quiz that will test the readers understanding of the topics covered. The quizzes are made up of multiple choice and True/False questions. A 90% or higher is required to receive a passing grade.
