Important Update: New domain name for the CMDS web app

We’re making an important update to how you access CMDS. This summer, we are transitioning from the current domain (insite.com) to a new and more modern domain (cmds.app) that aligns directly to the name of the system.

To help you prepare for this change, we’ve outlined the details below.

🔄 What’s changing?

Currently, your application is accessed with a URL that looks like this:

  • https://abc.insite.com

This summer, we’ll be switching to a domain that looks like this:

  • https://abc.cmds.app

This change will take place in phases across our environments:

  • Test environment switchover on July 10, 2025 (12:00 PM MDT)
  • Demo environment switchover on July 23, 2025 (8:00 PM MDT)
  • Live environment switchover on July 30, 2025 (8:00 PM MDT)

This is a system configuration change only, with no impact on system features or functions or data.

Technical Note: The subdomain for your company's account will remain the same. Only the domain host name will change. We'll configure the system so that users who visit the old domain are automatically forwarded to the new domain.

🧭 Why the change?

We're updating our domain name for several reasons:

  • Consistent Branding: The new .app domain aligns with the name of the CMDS platform and offers a cleaner, purpose-driven naming convention.
  • Security: The .app top-level domain enforces HTTPS-only by default. In other words, all websites using an .app domain must be accessed using HTTPS, and browsers automatically redirect HTTP requests to HTTPS. This guarantees all communication with web browsers is encrypted, protecting sensitive information and preventing potential man-in-the-middle attacks.
  • Scalability: The new domain better supports our long-term product roadmap, including new system features, services, and tools.

✅ What this means for you

  • Check with IT: Confirm with your IT department whether the domain cmds.app needs to be whitelisted to ensure uninterrupted access, especially in controlled network environments.
  • Test early: Take advantage of the early rollout in the Test and Demo environments to confirm access and functionality before the Live switchover on July 31.
  • No action on data: There will be no impact to your data or application functionality — this is a URL change only.

🔗 How to access the test environment

To access your test environment, follow these steps:

  1. Visit www.keyeracmds.com and go to the Test Links page
  2. Find your organization in the list
  3. Click the "Test Sign In" link
