Academic Recognition and Certification
The Competency Management and Development System is recognized by several post secondary institutions. Academic credentials are being granted based on the validated competencies using prior learning assessment methodologies and criteria.
Lakeland College is recognized across Western Canada as an innovator in education and training and an important provider of training to the petroleum industry. Lakeland College has accepted the system as a valid measurement of competency and training and grants credit towards several technical certificate programs.
Acknowledgment of on-the-job experience enables participants in the Competency Management and Development System to pursue additional education at Lakeland College through their array of industry-related programs, following the completion of requisite competencies.
